At
London
Olympia
on
August
2005
and
again
in
August
2006, Harveys
mainstay
beer
was
awarded
the
GOLD
MEDAL
in
this
most
prestigious
category
by
the
judges
of
the
Champion
Beer
of
Britain
Competition.
These
accolades
are,
arguably,
the
top
honours
a
British
brewer
can
achieve
and
are
certainly the
most
popularly
recognised
awards
among
beer
drinkers
and
the
general
public
receiving
a
great deal
of media
attention.
Beer
Guru,
writer
and
founder
member
of
CAMRA,
Roger
Protz
announced
the
winner
saying
"A
richly
deserved
award
because
it
is
one
of
the
classic
beers
of
Britain"
